Mundum aeternum esse dicebat: Quoniam si factus esset, ex non ente factus esset: infinitum vero esse, quoniam aeternum, et quum non habeat principium, unde incipiat, nec exitum habiturum quô terminetur. Immobilem quoque asseruit, quoniam moveri non possit, quod non transeat: transire autem necesse est, aut in plenum aut in vacuum, in quorum alterum transitus feri non potest. Ex aethere autem nubes fieri densatione aquae, quae supra Solem ascendens exstinguat ipsum, et rursus rarefacta accendat. Solem siccitate constipatum ex aquâ splendidâ, stellas, efficere.
